The skipper, Pascal Grinberg, born in France in 1952, sums up 35 years of professional or independant sailing. Having learnt his trade in the more classic areas such as the Mediterranean and the Caribbean as well as along a number of ocean passages, a first cruise into the high Arctic, to Spitsbergen, in 1986 is a revelation of another kind of cruising. Follows a second summer in Spitsbergen which confirms a real attraction towards ice and little explored regions. Course is set south and he arrives in Antarctica for the first time in January 1989. |

Cecilia G. Corradi, born in Argentina in 1963, has been sharing his life and work for a few years. Her fondness for books and literature has led her to work in a museum first and then into teaching. Her marked liking and talent for cooking naturally brought her to take charge of a galley brightened by her cheerfulness. |

Malena, born in Ushuaia in 1991, and Catalina, two years younger. Both of them, are enthusiastic about the voyage and full of curiosity for the countries to be visited and the people to be encountered. That is probably what triggered their interest for languages. The elder enjoys drawing very much while the younger shows a keen interest in animals.
